This large decorative cushion from MIN Studio’s Digital Moss Collection features images of nature translated into minimalist digital patterns. Seen from afar, the original image is still recognizable, but up close it is reduced to lines and dots — the concept of Digital Moss. The designs are applied using multi-layered screen-printing on deadstock denim, creating abstract textures and moss-like patterns with blue, white, grey, and glow yellow inks. By applying layers of screen-print in a diverse, spread-out, non-logical way, the prints recreate the appearance of moss.

The printed fabric is then cut into pieces and sewn into a patchwork composition, giving each cushion a unique appearance. The back is finished with plain denim and a metal zipper. The cushion is filled with a sustainable feather filling. The finished cushion combines the printed designs and patchwork into a functional decorative pillow.
